I'm curious if I really need to install intake fans underneath my GPU in my Jonsbo Z20 case. I've attached a picture for reference. Would having those fans make a significant difference, or will my GPU's fans provide enough airflow on their own?

You really don't need them; your GPU is capable of handling the cooling itself. But if the bottom of your case is quite open, a couple of intake fans could help bring in fresh air and slightly improve your temps.
I don’t use any fans under my GPU. I have top and side intakes with just one exhaust, and during a 24-hour BF6 session, my room was really warm at 82°F, but my CPU stayed at 46°C and the GPU hit 72°C, which I consider acceptable.
Adding bottom fans won't hurt anything, but if you already have good airflow from the front to the back of your case, you might not need them. If your power supply is mounted at the front, having those bottom fans could actually help a lot with cooling.
In my experience, having fans directly next to the GPU doesn't make a huge difference, even in well-ventilated cases. You might see a slight temp drop of 1-2°C at most.

Honestly, 2°C can be pretty nice to have. It's worth considering if you're looking to optimize.
