Hey everyone, I just received my components, including a 7800X3D CPU. I'm wondering if I'm all set regarding the BIOS version on my B650 Eagle AX motherboard. Is there any way to determine the current BIOS version just by looking at the box?

I don't think there's any info on the box that tells you the BIOS version. The best way is to set up your CPU, motherboard, and RAM, power it on without an OS, and you can see the BIOS version in the boot menu.

If it's a Gigabyte board, you can actually check the serial number. It starts with YYWW format; for example, if it says 2501, that means it was made in the first week of 2025, and should have the BIOS version that was current then.

Got it! Mine says 2512—what does that tell me?
