I'm considering disconnecting my RAM, but I'm hesitant because I once broke the RAM on an office computer when I tried it. Now that I have a new custom computer, I've seen some videos on how to install RAM, which looks straightforward. But when it comes to removing it, is there anything particular I need to do first?

Honestly, you don’t need to do much unless you want to upgrade your RAM. Just remember to ground yourself to avoid static damage when working inside the case.
There's a little lever on the sides of the RAM slots. Press that down and pull the RAM straight up. If you’re confused, just look up a quick tutorial on YouTube to see it in action!
Before you do anything, make sure your computer is completely turned off and unplugged from the wall. To remove the RAM, just follow the installation process in reverse: open your case, find the RAM sticks, and gently push down on the small tabs on either side of the RAM slots to release them. Just be careful not to force anything!
Definitely check for any plastic clasps on the sides of your RAM. You’ll need to pull those to unlatch the RAM before lifting it out. It’s super easy once you know what to look for!

Thanks! I wasn't sure if there was a specific procedure. It sounds pretty simple.
