Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to upgrade my motherboard and CPU, and I have a quick question about Windows 11. I vaguely remember that I need to enable secure boot and UEFI in the BIOS for Windows 11 to boot properly. Does anyone know if there's anything specific I need to do before the upgrade to ensure it still boots after I swap out all this hardware? I'm a bit confused about how the whole authentication layer works with secure boot.

I usually don't take any chances with Windows installs, so I always enable secure boot just to be safe.
If you're getting a new motherboard, it should come with the BIOS set up for Windows 11 right out of the box. So, you shouldn't have to worry too much about that, just double-check the settings after the swap.
Also, just a heads up! You don’t actually need to upgrade your hardware to run Windows 11. Tools like Rufus let you create a Windows 11 USB stick that bypasses the hardware checks. But if you are upgrading, it should just work as mentioned in the other comments.
