Do I Need to Rewire if I Got a New Asus ROG 1200W PSU?

Hey everyone, I need some advice here. I just received a second Asus ROG 1200W Platinum ATX 3.1 power supply because the first one I got had coil whine. I had already connected the cables from the first PSU, and when I plugged in the second one, I used the same wiring. Is that okay, or do I need to completely redo the wiring? Thanks in advance for your help!

If both power supplies are the exact same model, the cables should be identical, so you're totally fine using the old ones. Just make sure to send the new PSU back with the original cables! No need to redo anything if they're the same.

Exactly! The cables from the first PSU will work perfectly with the new one since they're designed for it.

You might want to double-check, but if you're using the same model and they look the same, there's no issue. Just don’t forget to return the first one once you’re sure everything’s working!

Thanks for the confirmation! I wanted to make sure before I sent it back.
