Do I Need to Update My BIOS for a New CPU?

Hey everyone! So, I built my PC around mid-2023 with basic components just to run some modded Minecraft and VR. Lately, my CPU has been struggling, so I went ahead and bought a new one. I initially planned to get all new parts, but due to some unexpected expenses, I only got the CPU. I want to replace my old one to prevent it from crashing during gameplay.

Right now, I'm using an ASUS Prime B560M-A AC motherboard, and my original CPU is the Intel Core i5-11400F. The new CPU I'm getting is the Intel Core i7-11700K. I saw on a PC part picker site that these parts are compatible, but I came across some info saying I might need to update the BIOS. I'm pretty clueless about this, so I'd love some advice on whether I should update my BIOS before or after installing the new CPU. I really don't want to mess anything up! Thanks in advance! :3

You don't need to update your BIOS for that new CPU, but I'd recommend buying it used. It works fine, and you can save some cash!

Is there a reason you suggest buying it used? And should I consider used parts when I eventually upgrade the rest of my PC?
