I'm considering getting the new RTX 5070 and I'm not sure if I need to upgrade my motherboard along with my CPU, or if I should just go for an entirely new system. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF (5.1 GHz, 14 Cores, 20 Threads)
- Motherboard: Asus Prime B760M-A CSM Wi-Fi DDR4
- RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro SL RGB 3600MHz (2x16GB) - White
- Primary SSD: 1TB Gen4 MSI Spatium M461 M.2 NVME (R: 5000MB/s, W: 3200MB/s)
- Graphics Card: Gigabyte RTX 4070 AERO OC - 12GB
- CPU Cooling System: Aftershock Glacier Mirror 360mm - White
- Chassis Fans: 5x Aftershock F21 RGB 120mm Fan - White
- Power Supply Unit: 750W Inwin 80+ Gold

You don’t need to upgrade your CPU; the i5-13600 is still really solid! Just make sure to update your BIOS or UEFI for compatibility. You'll be good to go!
I'm running a 13700KF with a 4090, and you're totally fine with your current setup. Should work perfectly with the 5070 too!
What about if I decide to upgrade to the 5080 or 5090? Will my current CPU handle that?
