Hey everyone! I'm not super tech-savvy, so I'm hoping for some advice here. My virus scanner, ASET Cyber Security, just notified me that it deleted a trojan horse virus. I'm not sure how it ended up on my Mac in the first place—I haven't downloaded anything unusual, I just opened a PDF from Illustrator in Acrobat for printing. I'm still running a full scan with ASET, which seems to be taking a while. So far, my Mac is running normally; no new apps or spam emails. Should I be worried about this? What else should I do to stay safe? Thanks for any help!

Just let that full scan finish up, and make sure your macOS and all your apps are updated. If everything seems normal afterward, you should be good to go! But if you want to play it safe, consider changing your important passwords and running a second scan with Malwarebytes just in case.

Do you know where the trojan was found? I’ve seen malware from junk email attachments before, so if it was something like that, you probably haven't even interacted with it. Just be cautious!
