After switching to Linux Debian with the Gnome desktop environment, I've been enjoying the improved battery life and faster boot times on my laptop. However, I've noticed that I'm getting hit with recaptchas a lot more frequently lately, which is super frustrating since I struggle with them! Is this a common issue for Linux users, or specifically for Debian? Have any of you experienced this too, and do you have any tips or workarounds? Thanks!

From what I've seen, it might depend on the specific distro you're using. Personally, I tend to notice more recaptchas on Debian than on Mint. It's weird how that can vary!
It could be the privacy-focused browser or plugins you’re using. If you have ad blockers or tracking protection on, that might trigger more captchas. I usually use Firefox with some privacy extensions, but I never had issues on Windows. It's worth checking your settings!
I don't think this is a widespread issue, but I’ve heard some sites can be weird with Linux user agents, which could cause more recaptchas on those sites. Just keep that in mind!
I haven't really noticed that happening to me. The only times I see those pesky captchas is when my VPN is turned on. Maybe it's something to do with that?

I use Firefox too, but I've had no problems on Windows. Maybe it's just how Linux handles things?
