Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a computer with some room for upgrades down the line. Right now, my budget allows for an Intel LGA 1700 setup with a 12400F processor, and eventually, I'd love to upgrade to a 14600F. I know Intel isn't as great as AMD at the moment, but going with AM4 or AM5 isn't possible for me financially. I've heard that the 14600KF can draw a lot of power, which means it needs a good VRM with efficient cooling. What are your thoughts on the VRM cooling on the Maxsun Challenger B760M for this setup? It's pretty affordable at around $70 where I live. Should I be concerned about the VRM heatsinks, or is it not a big deal?

You should be just fine! The main worry with VRMs usually comes from really power-hungry CPUs like the 14700K or 14900K. For the 14600K, the B760M Challenger should handle it without any problems.
VRM size and cooling do matter, especially for power-hungry CPUs and heavy overclocking. But since the B760 doesn't allow overclocking and you're sticking with the regular 14600F, you shouldn't have to worry much about the heatsinks at all.
From what I can tell, the B760M Challenger is pretty much similar to the B660M Challenger, which has successfully handled a 12900K at stock settings. It might throttle a bit with higher power limits, but since the 14600KF pulls less power, you should have no issues at all, especially since you likely won't be running heavy loads constantly.
Honestly, I wouldn't stress it too much. With energy costs going up, I keep everything on eco mode myself!
I hear you! It’s tough out there. Luckily for me, electricity isn't too expensive where I live, but I still worry about it with all the mining farms driving prices up!

Thanks for the info! That helps a lot!
