Does AppleCare+ cover scratches on the aluminum body of devices?

I've noticed that the new aluminum bodies seem to get scratched and scuffed pretty easily. I'm curious if AppleCare+ covers any damage to the aluminum body, or if they would only address issues that affect the device's functionality. Would they repair the damage, or would I need to get a whole new phone?

Unfortunately, AppleCare+ doesn't cover cosmetic damage like scratches. They only take care of problems that affect how the phone works. So if your phone's aluminum body gets scuffed but still functions fine, you’re out of luck!

Honestly, a lot of those reports about scratches come from influencers who treat their devices pretty rough to get clicks. If you take care of it, you might not run into those issues. Just keep an eye out, I guess!

Exactly! It's wild what people will do just for views. Just because influencers have issues doesn't mean everyone will.
