I'm looking to buy some PC components and noticed that Best Buy claims they price match Amazon. I'm curious if they actually honor this in-store or if they tend to make excuses. Since Amazon often has better prices, the price match could be super convenient, especially for same-day pickups. Do I need to show proof of the Amazon price on my phone, or do they check it themselves? What happens if the price changes between when I show it and when I check out? Has anyone successfully price matched Amazon prices at Best Buy for electronics?

I've never had trouble with price matching at Best Buy. I usually just have the Amazon price pulled up on my phone during checkout. As long as the item is available for Prime shipping and they can match the SKU, they should take care of it without any fuss.
If the item is sold and fulfilled by Amazon, they should honor the price match. Just keep in mind that they won't match prices from third-party sellers or Amazon Warehouse Deals—those have to be listed as sold directly by Amazon.
