My current employer lists me as a "Technical Consultant" due to their HR naming conventions, but we refer to ourselves as DevOps engineers internally. Could this discrepancy create issues during a background check? Should I ask my manager to clarify this in a reference letter? I did speak with HR, but they mentioned they can't change the employment letter.
