Does PCIe 3.0 Matter for an RTX 5070 Ti?

I'm considering upgrading my motherboard to PCIe 4.0 to resolve a black screen issue I'm having, but my B760M Gaming Plus Wifi motherboard only allows for PCIe versions 1.0 to 3.0, and every time I try to switch to 4.0, it defaults back to Auto. I'm curious if using PCIe 3.0 will have a major impact on my RTX 5070 Ti's performance or if it's more about the motherboard's capability. Has anyone experienced similar issues or can provide insights?

What black screen issue are you running into? Your board is set to auto for PCIe, which means it's already using PCIe 4.0 since you don’t have PCIe 5.0. Make sure your BIOS is up to date, and try using DDU to remove your GPU drivers before reinstalling the latest ones. That might help!

The black screen happens randomly, sometimes during YouTube or low-end games, but never during graphics-heavy titles. It freezes for a few seconds before going black, displaying 'no DP port', and I have to hard shutdown to reset it. I thought it might be searching for PCIe 5.0, even though my board doesn’t support that.
