I recently purchased an IBP Y40 and have been loving it, especially for music production. I just got an Apollo X8P, which requires Thunderbolt 3.0, but my PC only has USB-C ports. I'm trying to figure out if my B760 D5 motherboard is compatible with the ASUS Thunderbolt Ex4. I've done some digging but couldn't find much information on whether my motherboard supports PCIe 4.0, which is needed for the card. If I can't get this sorted, I might have to return the Apollo and stick with my old interface. Any advice on getting Thunderbolt up and running on my setup would be hugely appreciated!

If your motherboard is the PRO B760-VC WIFI, you should be in luck! This model typically comes with the necessary header for Thunderbolt. Make sure you grab the right card, and you should be good to go for using the Apollo X8P.

First off, I'd recommend downloading HWInfo to check your motherboard model. This will help confirm if your B760 D5 has the Thunderbolt header needed for the ASUS Thunderbolt Ex4. If it does, you just need to get the Thunderbolt card that matches your motherboard brand and plug it in! It should work seamlessly after that.
