I'm currently using Ubuntu, but I need a reliable Wi-Fi adapter to continue my work. I initially tried one that didn't function correctly, but now I have the Panda Wireless PAU0B AC600 Dual Band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wireless N USB Adapter on the way. It's listed as plug-and-play and states compatibility with multiple Linux distributions, including Ubuntu and Mint. I read somewhere that it might also come with a Mint installation. Is that true? Has anyone had experiences with this adapter? I'm also open to suggestions for other Wi-Fi adapters that work well with Linux. Thanks!

I have two Wi-Fi dongles—one from TP Link and another from Canakit. Both work perfectly with every Linux version I've tried.
I have the same adapter! It works great on both Ubuntu and Mint. I used it back then when those systems had trouble finding drivers for broadcom chipsets. However, newer versions have made my older setup redundant.

If it supports Ubuntu, it will definitely work with Mint too! They're quite similar in terms of compatibility.

You should check out the specific chipset of the adapter, like "RT5370," and see if there’s one known to be compatible with Linux. I've run into issues with certain chipsets on my older laptop, but the Panda AC600 is advertised to support Ubuntu. Appreciate the chipset info! I used to do a lot of research back in the day, mainly with various CPM machines. Looks like I need to get back into that habit. The more I read about the Panda, the more positive feedback I see. Just three more days until it arrives, and I hope to be up and running! 🙂
