I have a 100 Mbps internet package and I've been getting the full speed without any issues. However, when I connect to a VPN, my speed test results show up to 190 Mbps. Is this number reliable, or could the VPN be giving me a false speed reading?

Remember, the speed you see while browsing with a VPN is based on that VPN's connection speed, not your original internet speed. That's why you might see a higher reading. Your ISP only sees your connection to the VPN and not what you have underneath.
It’s a good idea to measure actual file transfers with and without the VPN to see how they compare. A real-world test will give you a better picture of your speed. If the VPN does show faster speeds, it might mean your ISP is throttling your connection unless you're doing something to bypass it.
I suggest you download a large file, like a Linux ISO. It’s a more accurate way to check your download speed—just make sure the server you’re downloading from can handle it.
