Does Using ChatGPT for Art Advice Make Me Any Less of an Artist?

I'm curious about where I stand as an artist considering I often turn to ChatGPT for advice. I've heard a lot of controversy in the art community regarding the use of AI, and I'm kind of hesitant to share my views there. Personally, as a 15-year-old girl with limited access to art mentors, I find it helpful to ask ChatGPT questions especially when I'm stuck on anatomy or just need some guidance. While I recognize that finding my own style is crucial, I still feel that this tool aids in my learning process. What do you all think? Am I still a real artist for using AI tools like this?

Using ChatGPT can be a great way to spark your creativity. I’m in my 40s and I do the same for my writing. Art is about personal expression, so as long as you're creating, you're an artist!

Exactly! Plus, sharing your work with others can help you grow too.

Absolutely! You're definitely a real artist no matter what tools you use. It's all about your creativity and expression, and using ChatGPT to guide you is just another resource. Remember, art comes from you, not just the tools you use!
