Experiencing Blue Screens on My New Dell OptiPlex 3020 – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I just got a Dell OptiPlex 3020 SFF and I've been facing a frustrating issue where I get random blue screens while gaming. I was playing League of Legends on low to mid settings (capped at 60fps, no antialiasing and vsync) when these crashes occur. My setup includes 8GB of DDR3 RAM, an Intel i5 4590 CPU, and a 500GB HDD. I'm planning to upgrade the RAM and add a low-profile GPU; do you think these upgrades will fix the problem, or is there something else I should consider?

I also have a dump file that I was advised to upload for better diagnosis. Here's the link: [dump file](https://files.catbox.moe/w2xor3.zip)

First off, I recommend collecting dump files from your system. These files log the details about the crashes and are crucial for pinpointing the problem. You can check the C:WindowsMinidump directory for them. Once you have them, zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site—catbox.moe is a good option. Having multiple dump files is helpful because they can reveal patterns in the crashes. Also, consider changing your dump settings to create "Small Memory Dumps" for more consistent reporting.

If you're unfamiliar with it, I can share a guide on how to do this!

Do you currently have a dedicated GPU in your OptiPlex? If not, I suggest looking into the GT1030 Low Profile (LP) as it can significantly improve your gaming performance. Plus, it might help alleviate some of the issues causing the blue screens.

Also, I suspect there might be a problem with your RAM since BSODs often relate to memory. Think about replacing your sticks with a dual 8GB configuration. Lastly, upgrading your HDD to an SSD will not only speed things up but could also prevent such crashes. You've got a solid plan to upgrade—just ensure you're matching parts for the SFF case!

Thanks for the suggestions! I definitely plan to replace the RAM and HDD, but finding a compatible GPU for my small form factor has been tricky. I appreciate the GT1030 tip!
