Experiencing High Idle Temps with My 5950X and AIO Cooler – Any Ideas?

Hey folks,

I'm having some real trouble with my cooling setup and could really use your insights. Here are the specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
- Cooler: Lian Li Galahad AIO 360 Uni Fan SL Edition
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 AORUS Ultra
- Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic
- Total fans: 9 (3 for bottom intake, 3 on top for radiator exhaust, and 3 for side exhaust)

Here's the issue: despite reapplying thermal paste, checking that both the pump and the fans are functioning properly, and tightening the cooler as much as I can with the spring-loaded screws, my CPU temp never drops below ~74°C when idle. When I game, those temps shoot up to 91°C!

I've ensured that the radiator and fans are clean, the airflow in my case is balanced, and the cooler is firmly attached. I even did a quick paper test between the cold plate and the CPU heat spreader, and I couldn't pull the paper out, which indicates there's contact. However, I still wonder if the cooler is sitting fully flush or if the pressure might be uneven.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with Galahad AIOs on AM4 sockets? Could it be that the mounting system isn't applying enough pressure, even when the springs are fully compressed? I would really appreciate any tips or experiences you can share!

Make sure you check if there’s a plastic sticker on the cold plate—sometimes people forget to remove it. That could definitely impact your temperatures!

Thanks for the tip! I actually removed that sticker a while back; used the AIO in another setup before this and had no issues.
