I recently purchased an RTX 3050 8GB graphics card and spent a good chunk of yesterday trying to troubleshoot a problem where my operating system wouldn't start. This issue only began after I uninstalled my NVIDIA driver. I attempted to download various versions of the driver, including the latest one (581.7), as well as older versions like 580.88 and 576.28. Unfortunately, I keep encountering problems like black screens, freezes, unexpected shutdowns, and restarts without a blue screen of death. I also recently replaced my power supply unit, so I don't think that's the problem. I've tested my RAM sticks and found no issues there either. I'm looking for recommendations on the best current driver I can download to resolve these issues, and I would appreciate any help or suggestions!

Can you clarify how the GPU behaves with the automatically installed driver? If it works fine then, it could still be a compatibility issue with the other drivers.
It sounds like your GPU might have a hardware issue rather than a driver problem. Drivers typically wouldn’t cause shutdowns and restarts on their own. You might want to consider returning the GPU for a replacement if it continues to act up after trying different drivers.
