I've been using Hyprland for over five months and have had great performance with end-4's Illogical Impulse dotfiles. Recently, though, I've been facing some serious lag that's making it almost unusable. Most of my apps are semi-transparent, and I have three-pass blur enabled. Normally, that setup worked fine, but now it's super laggy. I tried activating game mode to disable the blur and animations, which helps a bit, but it's still not comfortable for use. I even reinstalled Hyprland and the II dotfiles, but nothing changed. For now, I'm back on GNOME.
Here are my system specs:
- Intel i5 8th Gen
- Nvidia MX150
I noticed that the integrated GPU (iGPU) is always at 100% usage, dropping to about 80% when game mode is activated, while the MX150 shows 0% usage.
My config files are mostly default except for tweaks on sizes and blurring. I'm not sure what logs or files would be useful, but I'm happy to provide more info if needed.

First, what distro are you using? It can make a difference in performance with Hyprland. You can check your Nvidia GPU performance by running `nvidia-smi` in the terminal. That might give us some insight into what's going on.
Hey, definitely try running `nvidia-smi` when you’re logged into Hyprland, just to confirm how your GPU is performing and what processes are using resources. It might give you some clues about where the lag is coming from.
