I recently upgraded my CPU from an Intel i7 14700k to a Ryzen 7 9800x3d after feeling like the Intel just wasn't cutting it performance-wise. I also changed my motherboard to an Asus ROG Strix 870E-E Gaming, and switched my RAM to Corsair Vengeance 2x32GB 6000MT. The rest of my setup includes a 4070 Super, an AIO cooler, and a 750W PSU. However, I've been having some major issues with performance and boot times. When I ran Cinebench, I scored around 1300 on the multi-core test, which seems way off since I expected around 2000 for the 9800x3d. Similarly, my 3DMark score was 16k when it should have been around 22k. I've ensured that EXPO is enabled, I'm using the right power plan, and all drivers, including the chipset, are up to date. Additionally, I noticed my boot time has increased to about 42 seconds compared to just 13 seconds with my previous setup. I'd love to hear from anyone who might have a similar setup or could offer insight on these issues.

Sounds like you’ve done a lot of troubleshooting already. Have you tried resetting the BIOS to default settings? Sometimes fresh hardware can cause weird conflicts until you do a reset. Also, make sure that all components are properly seated and connections are secure.
Hey! Have you checked your CPU temperatures? Sometimes overheating can really impact performance. Idle temps around 40°C sound fine, but it’s good to keep an eye on what it hits under load. If it's hitting 82°C, that’s getting pretty warm! Just a thought, could be worth investigating further if it’s throttling.
I think your boot time issue might be tied to a few things—maybe how your SSD is set up or even BIOS settings after the swap. It’s not uncommon for systems to take longer to boot after major hardware upgrades, especially if the drivers or the BIOS settings aren't optimized.
Thanks for the tip! The temps do get pretty high under load, but HWiNFO says there's no throttling happening. I even toned down my overclocking since it didn’t seem to make a difference.
