Experiencing Memory Issues with Windows 11?

I've been running Windows 11 Pro on three different systems, all fully updated, and I've noticed a strange memory issue. After around 6-7 days of uptime, my idle memory usage creeps up from 2-3 GB to a staggering 10 GB. The task manager doesn't show any specific applications hogging the resources, and even after I manually close all tasks, the high memory consumption continues. The only fix I've found is to restart the systems, which isn't practical since they need to operate continuously for services. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

What you're seeing is likely related to the memory cache in Windows 11. The OS uses extra RAM to speed things up, so it may look like it's consuming a lot, but it's just how the system manages resources. There's usually nothing to worry about if the system is otherwise running smoothly.

I get where you're coming from, but it seems to go beyond just cached memory for me. I've noticed that this memory is never freed up, especially when running virtual machines. I don't remember facing this issue in earlier versions of Windows 11.
