Experiencing Poor Game Performance—Any Ideas?

I've been having a lot of trouble with game performance lately and I'm not sure why. I have a decent setup: an Intel Core i5-14600KF processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12GB graphics card, 32GB of RAM running at 6800 MT/s, and a 2TB SSD, all on Windows 11 with AtlasOS. I'm playing at 1920x1080 resolution, but I'm struggling to hit even 50 stable FPS in multiple games, especially Battlefield Redsec, even with low graphics settings. I don't have much knowledge about gaming hardware, so if there are specific tests I can run or checks I can do, I'd love some guidance. I can share my results if needed. What could be causing my poor performance?

Given your setup, you should be hitting 150-200 FPS on high settings, so there’s definitely something off. Make sure all your drivers are updated. Also, check your CPU and GPU utilization during gameplay—those numbers can tell you a lot about your performance issues.

I’ve confirmed my drivers are up to date. When you mention utilization, do you mean the average and peak CPU/GPU usage in-game? Should I also track VRAM/RAM usage and temperatures?

First off, have you installed the latest drivers? Battlefield 6 is a newer title, and updated drivers can often fix performance issues. If you have the latest ones, consider using DDU to completely uninstall your current drivers and then do a clean installation.

Yeah, I keep my drivers updated via GeForce Experience and usually reinstall Windows monthly. Do you think running DDU would still make a difference? This problem goes beyond just Battlefield 6—I've faced similar issues in other games like Cyberpunk.

Don't forget to monitor your temperatures while gaming. Use HWInfo for that; it's more reliable than HWMonitor. High temperatures might be throttling your performance.
