Hey everyone! I've just wrapped up planning my new gaming PC build, and I'm looking for some feedback before I pull the trigger on purchasing all the parts. Here's what I'm considering:
- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-14400F
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB
- **Motherboard**: ASUS B660-PLUS D4 (ATX, LGA1700)
- **RAM**: Netac DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16
- **Storage**: Silicon Power 1TB NVMe Gen3x4 SSD
- **Cooler**: GAMDIAS CHIONE E4 360mm AIO (white)
- **PSU**: Redragon RGPS-850W 80+ Gold (ATX 3.1 / PCIe 5.1, Fully Modular)
- **Case**: NZXT H6 Flow RGB (white, dual-chamber)
The total comes to around $1,300 CAD. I'm wondering if these choices are good for the price, if there's anything I should swap out (like the motherboard, cooler, or PSU), or if I could get equal or even better performance for the same budget. All my parts are listed on Amazon. Thanks!

I'd definitely go with the suggestions from that PCPartPicker build listed earlier. It seemed to offer better options for a minimal price increase. The 850W PSU really is overkill unless you're planning for future upgrades, so you could save some money there too.
I think you could improve your build quite a bit! For the same price, you might want to consider switching to an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X. You’d get a solid performance boost. Also, ditch that massive 360mm AIO cooler; it’s way overkill for the i5-14400F. A decent air cooler would do the job for that CPU. Plus, the 5060 isn't the best choice—maybe look at the Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB VRAM instead. It’ll give you better performance for gaming!
You’ve got a few things that might not be ideal. For one, the 5060 GPU is lacking—consider getting something like the RX 9060 XT instead because 8GB is getting a bit low for current games. Also, your power supply is pretty overblown at 850W, especially for your setup. If you go for a new GPU and cooler setup, that might save you some cash too!
How much power would be ideal then? I'm worried about under-sizing the PSU.
Great point about the cooler! I didn't think it was necessary for that CPU. I'll definitely consider those GPU options.
