Feedback on My I9-14900K and RTX 5090 Build for Drug Discovery Simulations

I'm working on a PC build for drug discovery simulations and I'd like to get some opinions on my chosen configuration: [link](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/PFhRh7). I opted for the i9-14900K over AMD processors, as I've read that Intel CPUs are more efficient for productivity tasks. I'm particularly interested in how this processor performs with the latest BIOS update (microcode 0x12b) and whether any degradation issues have been resolved since the update. Additionally, I'm curious how the performance changes with this BIOS. I've done my research, and I think I've created a strong setup for resource-heavy programs like GROMACS and AutoDock Vina, which I'm using for simulations. For example, I'm currently running a 100 ns protein-ligand simulation that's taking about 8 days on my current rig. I'll be ordering parts soon, so I appreciate any feedback!

I’ve heard that 0x12b didn’t completely fix the issues with the i9-14900K, but they just released 0x12f. It might be worth checking if that resolves things. Also, for your build, it looks solid for running GROMACS and AutoDock Vina. Just make sure you've got enough cooling since you’re going for high performance!

So, has anyone tested the 0x12f update yet? Is it working as intended?
