Feeling Lost in My Computer Science Journey – Need Guidance

I've been learning computer science for about a year and a half now, but I'm feeling really stuck. I understand the basics of languages like Java, C++, and Python, but I can't seem to build anything meaningful. Everyone around me is creating amazing projects, and their understanding seems much deeper than mine. I feel pretty dumb without any good projects to showcase my skills. I really need some guidance on how to move forward because right now I just feel lost and overwhelmed.

It's important to start with smaller projects to boost your confidence and sharpen your problem-solving skills. Completing straightforward tasks can help instead of overwhelming yourself with complex ones. If you're stuck on where to begin, I recommend using a project idea generator that fits your skill level. Trust me, it's super common to feel lost right after getting the basics down. Just keep building!

Are you actively trying to practice and build things? It sounds like you've recognized that you need to work on projects, so keep pushing yourself to create! Just starting a project can be intimidating, but the more you practice, the easier it will become.
