Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a tough spot right now. I'm studying UX at university, but I've been relying on AI and cheating through my programming assignments. Now, as we move into more complex topics like VueJS, I'm realizing just how far behind I am. I honestly can't even explain the basics of HTML or JavaScript. I feel hopeless and am seriously considering dropping out. I just don't learn well from YouTube videos and I want to turn things around. I'm looking for any advice on how to get back on track. Any thoughts?

Honestly, if you're feeling this overwhelmed, it might be worth considering dropping out and starting fresh. Sometimes a reset is what you really need.
If your university offers tutoring, definitely utilize that! Worst case, you might fail this class, but it could serve as a reality check. Take this semester to really learn the material you skipped. Remember, most UX work doesn't require heavy coding.
Focus on the fundamentals first! Try small projects to apply what you've learned. Free resources like MDN Web Docs are great. If you want more structure, look into courses like Codecademy or FreeCodeCamp. Join programming communities for support and remember to take it step by step.
I took a break from uni for health reasons and spent that time filling in my knowledge gaps. When I went back, it felt way different and much easier.
Have you thought about talking to your lecturer? They might offer some guidance and can help you figure out the best way to get back on track.
Think about why you chose to rely on AI initially. What's different now that makes you want to try again? If you really feel ready to change, consider restarting or at least discussing your situation with your teachers.
