Hey everyone! I'm a developer who primarily works with TypeScript and JavaScript, especially in frameworks like Next.js and React.js. I've been really interested in contributing to open source but have run into some challenges. I tried looking for projects where I could contribute, starting with Brave and found a 'good first issue,' but I got completely lost trying to navigate their codebase. It was overwhelming, and I couldn't figure out where to even make the changes. Then, I moved on to the TypeScript repo, only to face the same issue—no 'good first issues' available and I felt just as lost. I'm really eager to contribute, but is there something I'm missing? Any advice would be super helpful!

Honestly, you're probably trying to climb Mount Everest as a beginner! Those projects are very complex, and it’s understandable to feel lost. Consider looking for smaller repositories that are more beginner-friendly. They often have tags like 'good first issue' or 'beginner-friendly.' There are tons of open source projects out there that would appreciate any contributions, no matter how small!
Thanks for the suggestion! Sometimes it’s just tough knowing where to start.
