I've been working as a developer in cloud automation and infrastructure for three years now, but I'm looking to learn more on my own outside of work. The problem is, I'm really struggling to find the motivation to code because it feels pointless to create projects that already exist. I can't come up with a unique idea, and that leaves me feeling stuck. What should I do to reignite my motivation and creativity in coding?

A great way to find motivation is to relate your projects to your hobbies. If you love gaming, for instance, consider creating tools or applications that support that interest. You’ll feel more engaged, and the coding will be more enjoyable!

Exactly! Even small projects related to hobbies can lead to bigger ideas!

It's totally normal to feel this way! Instead of trying to create something brand new, focus on making something that interests you or solves a problem you see. Most programmers don't invent the next big thing; they improve existing ideas. Just pick a small need or a project that excites you and build from there!

Don't stress about originality! Think about how many apps are out there that do the same thing but are still successful. You can tweak existing ideas or combine them in unique ways. Start with something that you’re passionate about, even if it’s already out there. You might create a version that really resonates with you!
