I'm building my first PC after a long time with a 2016 laptop, and I'm really excited about my selection! I've done a lot of research and appreciate all the advice I've received. My main goal is solo gaming at FHD/1080p with titles like Jedi Survivor, RDR2, and some indie games. I also occasionally stream on Discord while gaming. One of my priorities is to keep heat generation low due to some health concerns in hot indoor conditions. I'm planning to order my parts today, aiming to build in a few weeks when I get a monitor. The specific RAM kit I've chosen is listed as compatible with Ryzen 9000 series but not directly for the Ryzen 5 7600. Can anyone confirm if it should work? Also, is it normal that the cheapest UPS is quite expensive?

I've had some issues with XPG RAM, not that great in my experience. You might want to look for RAM with a lower CAS latency value—ideally CL36 or better. That can really help with performance, especially gaming.
Based on price and availability, I'd say definitely check for the best options within your budget. It's worth it for a smoother experience!
Go for RAM with a lower CL value if you can. I found a 6000 CL30 kit that's cheaper, which can help save some cash. And honestly, the 7600X might be a better choice in terms of price-to-performance ratio if you can find it!
Thanks for the tip, but I've already mentioned that most of the cheaper options I've seen have shady reviews or are out of stock! It's frustrating.
Honestly, if you swap out for a different RAM kit, you'll be golden. Just make sure it aligns with your budget and availability. Not worth overpaying for questionable options!
Exactly! I’m weighing my options, but I’m hesitant to go for those kits with bad reviews. I really just want something reliable that won't break the bank!
Hey, I totally get it! I'm also upgrading from something basic to a pretty awesome build. Cheers to all of us tackling this RAM issue this year!
Right?! Feels good to finally invest in something solid for gaming.
Consider checking out the link I posted with a better RAM and CPU option. That should help with both performance and heat concerns!
Thanks for the suggestion! But I have to go with what’s available. I picked the 7600 for its lower power draw, which should help with the heat, especially since many games are GPU-bound.

True, but RAM brand isn't everything. Often it comes down to the chips used inside, which are generally from major manufacturers like Samsung or Micron. What's your budget for RAM?
