First PC Build – No Display and CPU Error Light, What Now?

I just put together my first PC, but I'm running into some frustrating issues. My monitor isn't displaying anything, and there's a CPU error light lit up on my motherboard. I read that I might need to update the BIOS, and I've got the latest version (2025-04-17) loaded onto a 64GB flash drive. However, when I try to insert it into the motherboard, nothing happens, and the error light is still on. Can anyone help? Here are my specs:

- Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WiFi ProSeries
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core, 12-thread

Did you double-check the BIOS update instructions? It's not just about plugging in the flash drive—you may need to do a specific step to initiate the update process. Sometimes it involves using a designated button on the motherboard before powering it on.

I can't see anything on the monitor, so I can't initiate the update on the PC itself. I did follow the BIOS download instructions to get it on the drive, though.

Have you tried checking your RAM sticks? I had a CPU error light once because one of my RAM sticks wasn’t seated correctly. It might be worth re-seating them or trying each one individually to see if that helps.

I think my RAM is fine. Both sticks are firmly in place, so I don’t believe that's the issue.
