First Time Building a PC and Facing Low Performance Issues

Hey everyone! I just completed my first desktop PC build after always using gaming laptops, and I'm running into some serious performance issues. After benchmarking some games I love, I've noticed a lot of stuttering and screen tearing. I live in a rural area without easy access to tech support, so I'm hoping you all can help me. I've seen others with similar setups achieving around 120 fps at Ultra settings in 1080p, but I'm struggling to even reach 75 fps. In fact, in games like Far Cry 5, I often drop as low as 55 fps, while others are hitting around 145 fps.

Here's what I've got:
- **GPU**: Shadow 2x RTX 5060ti 16gb
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5700G
- **Motherboard**: TUF Gaming A520M Plus 2
- **Memory**: MP33PRO PCIe 3.0x4
- **RAM**: XPG GAMMIX D35 DDR4 16gb
- **Power Supply**: CX SERIES CX550 80 Plus Bronze

I've been testing with and without V-Sync and it seems to make little difference. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing these issues? Thanks a lot!

From what I know about the 5700G, it has less L3 cache compared to the 5700X, which might hold you back performance-wise. If it's possible for you to sell that CPU and upgrade to something like the 5600 or 5700X, it might make a noticeable difference. Just something to think about!

That's a solid suggestion. I didn’t pick out the components myself, but if I can figure out a way, I might consider it. Appreciate the advice!

First off, did you plug your monitor directly into the GPU? That’s a common mistake. If that's all good, we might need to check your performance metrics while running a game. Look at CPU and GPU utilization—are they being fully used? Also, make sure your RAM is set to XMP speed and not running at a lower stock MHz. If your CPU or GPU temperatures are above 90°C, that could also throttle performance. Let me know what you find out!

Yeah, checking those utilization stats is key! If you're running your RAM at stock speed, it can definitely hold you back, so tweak those settings if you can.

Also, do check if you have 2x 8GB sticks instead of 1x 16GB! Dual channel can really help your performance.

Hey, just to double-check, is your display cable connected to the graphics card and not the motherboard? That would definitely impact performance. Make sure it's plugged into the GPU for optimal output.
