Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC, and I'm totally new to this. Here's what I have so far:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Storage: Samsung 990 EVO PLUS 1TB
- Liquid cooler: Corsair Nautilus 360 RS ARGB
- Case: NZXT H7 FLOW Mid Tower
- Case Fans: Lian Li UNI FAN SL-INF 120mm ARGB
- Input devices: Wireless Mouse & Keyboard
I still need to pick up RAM, but I'm wondering if I can go ahead and install everything else in the case? I know the PC won't function without the RAM, but can I at least set it up?

You can definitely prepare your PC by installing the motherboard and other parts. Just remember, when the RAM does show up, you might find it a bit tricky to get it in because of the space constraints with other components. It’s usually easier to set up as much as you can beforehand.
Check out PC Part Picker! It’s a great tool to make sure all your components fit together. I see you’re thinking about 2x8GB RAM—I understand that prices are high right now, so that’s a smart move. You can always upgrade later!
If you're worried about the cost, you might want to consider switching to a less expensive case or air cooler, and perhaps getting a WD SSD instead of the Samsung. That way, you can allocate more budget towards 32GB of RAM.
Yes, you can install everything except for the RAM. Just keep in mind that your system won’t be able to boot up. When the RAM arrives, you'll just need to be careful about fitting it in with the other components already in place.
