I'm experiencing an issue with my Xbox controller disconnecting frequently while connected to my PC via USB. This has been happening more often lately, even though it used to rarely disconnect. The controller disconnects at random times, but the light stays on, and all the buttons still register—just no input is recognized. I've already tried updating the controller through the Xbox accessories app and uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers in device management, but nothing seems to work. I've also gone through multiple USB cables, and they all disconnect just the same. I really don't want to buy a new controller; I have a SCUFF controller, which might not have been the best choice. Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like your USB port might not be holding the connection. This is a common issue with USB devices like controllers. I recommend trying a brand new USB cable, as the one you've been using might be worn out after all those years. Sometimes, even if the cable seems okay, the connection can degrade over time. Have you tried any specific brands or types of cables that worked well for you?

Haha, yeah, I've had cables that I've used for over a decade too. It's always a good idea to get a new one just to see if that fixes the issue. I personally like the Anker cables—they're really durable!
