Hey everyone! I'm having trouble with my Phillips monitor, which supports 1920 x 1080 resolution at 100hz. It seems to be underscanning, meaning that my image doesn't fully fill the screen, and I can't seem to find a fix for it. I've tried adjusting settings in the Nvidia control panel as well as the display settings on my laptop, but nothing's worked. I'm using an older laptop connected via HDMI, so that might be part of the problem. Any advice?

Hey! It sounds like you might be running into some kind of display mode issue. Are you using screen mirroring or setting it to extend your desktop? Depending on how it's set up, you could try switching to 'extend' mode or even disabling your laptop's display to see if that helps.
Honestly, I've seen this happen before, especially with older laptops. The HDMI connection may not support full resolution with some hardware. Sometimes a simple reset of both devices can clear up the problem too. It could just be how your monitor is interpreting the signal from an older device.
Underscanning usually means the displayed image is smaller than the actual monitor, making it look like there’s a border around it. Have you tried checking the monitor settings directly? Sometimes they have options for scaling that are separate from the computer settings. Also, posting a picture of what you're seeing could help get more specific advice!

Thanks for the tips! I'll give the monitor settings a look and see if a reset helps.
