Frustrated with ASUS TUF X870 Plus Build – Any Solutions?

I'm really struggling with my ASUS TUF X870 Plus WiFi build. It's been three days, and I can't get past the driver installation stage. I've spent over a day trying to set up RAID unsuccessfully, so I switched to an AHCI drive just to test everything out. The drivers I attempt to install don't provide any details during the process, and the devices still show as failed in Windows 11's Device Manager. I've even reinstalled Windows to start fresh, but nothing seems to work. Honestly, I'm not a fan of Windows 11 at all! I'm so frustrated; I've built PCs for a living and usually wrap it up in just a few hours. I liked the specs of this board, but I'm seriously considering returning it and going for a different brand. I'm curious if anyone else has had a better experience with ASUS boards?

I haven’t experienced issues with ASUS motherboards, and I actually own a TUF model, though it's a few years old. Have you double-checked everything beyond just the drivers? I share your disdain for Windows 11, though. It’s unfortunate we’re being pushed to upgrade from Windows 10 soon.

You're right, it's tough! I’m not a gamer either, and honestly, I'm still using an old Dell that works fine for me. I only wanted to upgrade because of the TPM 2.0 requirement for Windows 11. Between my issues with this build and my hatred for Windows 11, I think I might just return it and save myself more headaches.

I was lucky that my B650 ASUS TUF motherboard was dead on arrival, so I dodged any similar problems!

I had the same experience! When I was checking the ASUS website for info before buying, that annoying AI chat popped up so often, I couldn't focus. I usually leave sites that use those, and I’m really disappointed that I didn't heed that as a warning!

I've had nothing but issues with ASUS products for the last decade and have sworn them off completely. I know it might not be entirely their fault, but I've just had enough of the hardware and software problems they've caused me in the past!

I completely understand! I really need to return this before the window closes myself. I’m so done fixing the walls from my frustrations!
