Frustrations with ChatGPT’s Content Policies for Image Generation

I've been trying to use ChatGPT for generating concept art, but I keep running into issues with its content policies. For instance, I can get it to create a character image based on a description, but when I want to make profile photos for modeling, it won't let me modify that character because it says it can't alter real people's likenesses. I've even tried asking it to remove makeup or hair to get clean images for textures, but it claims those requests can be culturally inappropriate. This back-and-forth ends up wasting a lot of my time, and I'm feeling really frustrated. Has anyone else faced similar issues? Any tips on how to handle this? Also, are there any alternatives that can generate high-quality images while accurately maintaining a person's features from reference photos?

You're definitely not the only one struggling with this! Just last week, I tried getting an image for 'May the Fourth' and linked my photo, but it kept flagging the request. I even attempted to use a description of someone who looks like me, but it still got turned down. It's infuriating!

All companies have their terms of service, which is fair. But it's really about how well those guidelines are enforced. If ChatGPT isn't doing what you need it to, maybe it's not worth the subscription for you. Just my two cents!

Completely agree! It’s not about the TOS itself but how they handle it. If it can’t meet my needs, I’ll have to reconsider paying for it.

I totally get where you're coming from! The content policies feel like they're more of a hurdle than anything else. Companies have to protect themselves legally, which is why they set these rules, but it really limits what we can do creatively. If you want to work around this, consider using local models like those from Hugging Face. They have some pretty amazing options like realistic vision models that might give you the freedom you're looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into those local models. I appreciate the need for policies, but it feels like they're limiting functionality more than protecting anyone at this point.

Man, I feel your pain! It's like using a fantastic tool that's been hamstrung by overly sensitive filters. Imagine a travel agent trying to book a flight without knowing if the destination is even served. That's what it feels like trying to work with these constraints!
