Getting a 502 Error on My Website – Help Needed!

I'm running into a frustrating 502 error while trying to access my website. This error means that the web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy. What's strange is that the site still shows as secure with a lock icon. We've installed the SSL certificate correctly, and Digicert confirmed that the installation went smoothly. However, when I check the SSL using their tool, it appears that a different certificate is being referenced, which is super confusing. Normally, you'd expect a certificate issue to show as 'not secure' or 'invalid certificate,' but it's still indicating it's secure.

The original installation was handled by someone else, so I'm not sure how everything was initially set up, which might be part of the issue. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on what steps to take next? Thanks!

You might want to get some outside help to troubleshoot this. It could be that your proxy or CDN setup is not configured correctly, or there might be DNS issues. Since the original setup was done by someone else, it’s possible things were set up in a way that’s not obvious now. Bringing in an expert could save you a lot of time and headaches!

Exactly! I had a similar problem with my nginx setup at home, and it turned out to be a misconfigured proxy that couldn't find the upstream servers. It was a real hassle until I figured it out.

That sounds a bit like my situation too. The person who set up our system didn't leave any documentation, and when they quit, they didn't share how everything was configured either.

It seems like you're not giving enough details about your setup. Knowing the type of application, your proxy server setup, and the operating system you're using would help a lot. If you're looking to get this resolved quickly, I suggest hiring someone to walk you through the troubleshooting process, maybe even over a video call. Trying to fix this over forums could take way longer.
