I'm building a new PC and I've been testing different Linux distributions, and I really like Linux Mint. However, I've run into some issues when trying to install it with my RX9060XT graphics card. I initially used the integrated graphics on my Ryzen 9 9900X during testing, but now Mint isn't working properly with the new GPU. Is there a way to make Mint work with my graphics card, or would I be better off trying a different distribution? I had tried Bazzite, but I didn't care for its interface. Any suggestions?

From what I've found, Linux Mint uses an older kernel by default, so try updating to the 6.14 kernel through the update manager. Also, make sure you get the latest Mesa drivers from the Kisak repository; that should really help with your graphics card compatibility.
I've heard good things about the Liquorix kernel; it’s widely praised for performance with various distributions and is relatively easy to install. It might be worth looking into for better graphics performance.
If you're keen on sticking with Mint, just update your kernel as needed. I switched from a 6700XT to a 9070XT and had the same issue until I did that. Also, double-check that you're using the latest version of Mint—sometimes updates improve compatibility.
Honestly, for a smoother experience with your graphics card, you might want to try a rolling release distro like Fedora or OpenSUSE instead of Mint. They tend to have newer packages and better support for the latest hardware.
