Hey everyone! I'm having some major issues with my iPhone 14 Pro Max and I'm hoping someone here might have some advice. Here's what's going on: My phone randomly shuts down even when the battery is at a decent level (between 40-100%). After restarting, it sometimes shows a much lower battery percentage than it should. It's been crashing often when I try to use apps like FaceTime, Snapchat, or the Camera. The volume button for lowering sound has stopped working completely, and the audio quality is really inconsistent. Notifications seem to affect the volume too, and all of this happens only when I'm not charging the phone. When plugged in, everything runs smoothly, except for the non-working volume down button. I haven't dropped it or exposed it to water, and the problems started suddenly without any recent iOS updates. I've tried force restarting, checking for updates, and resetting settings, but no luck. Does anyone think this could be a battery issue, a logic board problem, or something else? Any insights or experiences similar to this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

First thing to check is your battery health. If it’s low, that could explain the random shutdowns—especially under load from apps. When batteries degrade, they struggle to provide enough power. It sounds like a failing battery, but there could be more going on too.
Good point! The max capacity is at 64%, so it’s definitely not ideal. I noticed the issues ramping up really quick too, not just one at a time.
You might want to consider restoring your phone completely. That's what Apple's support would suggest if you reached out to them. But I understand it can be a hassle, especially if you’re worried about losing stuff during the process.
Yeah, definitely check your battery settings and health status. If you see a cap like 64%, it could be part of the problem—or all of it! Apple’s known to suggest restoring, but sometimes you might just need a battery replacement to solve these shutdowns.
I didn’t realize battery health affects more than just how long it lasts—good to know! If that’s failing, it explains a lot.
Exactly! I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth getting it repaired or not.
Yeah, it all started just a week and a half ago. I'm worried something more serious could be happening.
