I recently discovered a new WAMP-like tool named MayWeb, and I've got to say, the user interface looks fantastic! The features seem to meet all my requirements for a tool like this. However, I have some serious concerns: even though it's hosted on GitHub, I can't find any source code. The only option is to download a precompiled version, which passes my scanning tools, but Windows flags it as coming from an unknown publisher. I'm wondering if anyone here has any insights about this tool or its developer? I'm eager to try it out, but with all the risks these days, I want to be cautious about what I install on my system.

There's definitely something off about this. I noticed that while the license file states Apache 2.0, the README claims MIT, and there's zero source code or pull requests. I’d recommend staying away from it.
Honestly, I’d just report this whole thing. It seems pretty sketchy to me.
It definitely has a suspicious vibe; I'm not really comfortable with it.
Not having any source code is a massive warning sign! They either don't understand GitHub, or they're trying to pull something shady. I've even raised an issue on the repo about it. It's alarming how many similar projects are popping up lately, it's like scammers have found a new way to operate.
**Update:** The repo owner replied to my issue and...
- He changed the README to remove the MIT license reference.
- The LICENSE file now claims it's proprietary software instead of Apache. That's really concerning!
I'm really interested to see what kind of explanations he offers. It’s a bummer because I saw a video that showcased the tool, and the UI looked amazing. But with the lack of transparency, I just can’t take the risk!

Yeah, and now all references to the MIT and Apache licenses have been removed. That's a huge red flag.
