Has Anyone Used IceWarp Mail Server Recently?

I'm part of a small business with 60 users and we've received a pretty appealing offer from IceWarp for their Mail Server. While we're currently using a mix of Workspace and Webmail to cut costs, I'm concerned about possibly sacrificing productivity since the Workspace interface is so user-friendly, especially since many of my colleagues are used to Gmail. I've only come across a few mentions of IceWarp in older threads from around 8 years ago, so I'm curious to hear if any of you have used it recently. Do you like it? Would you consider switching from Workspace to IceWarp?

Wow, I used to administer IceWarp about 10 years back and we faced a lot of criticism for not just going with M365. Sure, it was cheap, but we struggled with things like a clunky calendar connector. Employees hated entering URLs for phone access, and there was no two-factor authentication. When new devices came in, we had to manually set up everything again. I'm grateful I'm not dealing with that anymore.

Zimbra?! Just the thought makes me cringe. Those were the days of pain!

Exactly! They seem to have packed a ton of apps that aren't exactly trustworthy now. Initially, they were just a mail server; now they're trying to do everything.

I didn't even know IceWarp still existed! I used to administer it around 16 years ago, and while it wasn’t the best then, it definitely takes me back. Thanks for the nostalgia!

Haha, same! I couldn't find much recent talk about it, which makes me a bit uneasy, but the things I did find weren't all bad. Just trying to gather a balanced view to give to my boss.

Honestly, if they aren’t paying you to use IceWarp, steer clear. There are better and more reliable options out there. M365 really seems to be the best bet nowadays with robust desktop apps and the familiarity of Outlook and Office tools.
