Hey everyone,

Has anyone else noticed their devices asking for BitLocker recovery keys after installing the May 2025 update? We've had about 300 out of 15,000 users report this issue. Just to note, our Intune update ring is currently paused. Would love to hear if this has happened to you too!

I ran into this as well. I was trying to install Linux alongside Windows 11, and I got blocked because it thought BitLocker was enabled. I never turned it on, but somehow my recent Windows installation must have enabled it without me knowing. So annoying!

This hit our entire organization yesterday. It's been a total nightmare dealing with these BitLocker prompts!

So, were these devices already bitlocked before the update? Because on my company device, I had to recover it with the BitLocker key just to get back to a working state. It's frustrating!

Yes, they were bitlocked! It’s such a hassle having to recover every time.

Yeah, I've seen similar reports. It's been affecting our organization too. You might want to check the monthly patch thread; there's a detailed discussion about this issue there.
