Having a Nightmare Building My AMD 9600X PC

I'm really struggling with my new AMD 9600X build and could use some advice. I've built several PCs before with Intel, but this one is giving me a lot of trouble. Here's what I'm working with:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- PSU: CORSAIR RM750e Gold
- SSD: Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2
- RAM: I've tried two different sets:
1. CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30
2. 32GB (2x16GB) of DDR5 5600 with 36-36-36-76 timings.

I haven't installed a GPU yet; I'm connecting my monitor via the motherboard's HDMI. I have the power connected correctly with a 24-pin and 2x8 pin from the PSU.

I initially used an Asrock B850 Pro RS WiFi motherboard but ran into POST issues, so I switched to an ASUS TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS. Unfortunately, it has never posted reliably. The fans spin only when I hold the power button, and sometimes they keep going but then switch to yellow and red POST lights indicating DRAM and CPU issues respectively.

I've reseated the CPU and checked everything looks fine. I'm stuck thinking the CPU might be the issue—maybe it was defective from the start, or did the Asrock board damage it? I'm doubting it's the PSU.

**EDIT:** I tried another PSU and removed the M.2 SSD, and I've confirmed I flashed the latest BIOS. But I'm still facing the same problem, so I'm leaning towards a CPU issue. Any thoughts?

You didn't mention the RAM speed and timings, which are super important for AMD builds. Make sure your RAM is running at the right speeds to avoid compatibility issues.

Good point! I’ve tried both a 6000MHz and a 5600MHz RAM setup, but I'm still getting the same issues.

You might also want to share some details on your Imgur post. I found this thread through there, and it might help you gather more insights or avoid any unnecessary downvotes.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just updated my Imgur to include more details!

Have you updated the BIOS? The ASUS boards for the 9000 series Ryzen often need a BIOS update to work properly. It’s a pretty common step that gets overlooked!

Oh yeah, I should've mentioned that! I did a BIOS flashback to the latest version, and it seemed to complete just fine.
