I've had a rough start with my AMD GPU journey. After reading some mixed reviews, I decided to buy a 9070XT to upgrade from a 3060ti, thinking I wouldn't face the same issues that I read about. The first few weeks went fine, but in the past couple of weeks, I've started experiencing several problems. Randomly, when I leave my computer idle for a bit, it switches the resolution to 1280x720 at 30FPS, and I can't change it back without restarting, which temporarily fixes it back to 3440x1440 at 240Hz. That's not ideal but manageable. However, I've also had three complete blackouts where my monitor loses signal—once while playing a game and twice while just browsing. I bought this GPU about a month ago, and I have until January 31 to return it under the Amazon holiday policy. I was hoping to score a cheaper 5070ti, but it's around $1200 unless I catch a flash sale, which usually sells out quickly. Should I just settle for something like a 5060ti or go for an RMA on this GPU? It's a Sapphire 11348-03-20G Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT.

Have you thought about switching your DisplayPort cable? Sometimes they can create issues too. Also, make sure you're not using any extensions from the PSU to the GPU or off-brand cables, as those can cause problems. Just checking!
Definitely check your cables! They can be a real pain sometimes. Just to confirm, do you know if your cables are in good condition? Sometimes, a flaking cable can cause the issues you're describing.
It's a relatively new CORSAIR RM750e, and the cables are fine since I upgraded everything else a few months back.

No cable extensions here; I'm using HDMI 2.1 since the manual suggested it’s better for 240Hz.
