Hey everyone, I'm dealing with some major issues after installing the latest cumulative update KB5071547 on Windows Server 2022. I've heard about issues on older servers, but I didn't see anything specific for 2022, aside from a few status messages not showing up in WSUS. After I approved the patches, we ran into two big problems: RADIUS authentication requests weren't getting processed on our NPS server during VPN logins, and applications couldn't connect to any databases on SQL Express, even locally. I ended up uninstalling KB5071547 from both the NPS and SQL Express servers, which fixed the issues. I really dislike having to uninstall updates to resolve things, but it was critical to getting back online. Oh, and just as an update, our Duo Auth Proxy was also impacted by this update. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I patched a Windows Server 2022 VM running NPS and Duo Auth Proxy yesterday, and it's been working fine. However, my FSSO connection to Fortigate stopped working, but that might not be related to the update. Since it's not in production yet, I'll dig into it after the new year.
I installed KB5071547 on my Windows Server 2022 Standard machine running IIS, and while it worked for a bit, IIS ended up crashing. When I tried to uninstall the update, the option was missing. It turns out the issue was actually due to disk space running low, so I'm not blaming the update just yet, but it's strange that I can't uninstall it. Any thoughts on why?
You're right about the uninstall option disappearing! It likely includes a Servicing Stack Update (SSU). Most recent cumulative updates have these, and they can’t be uninstalled if they include one.

Sounds like it might be related to the disk space issue, definitely check for any log file bloating in IIS.
