Having Trouble Downloading Rust on Steam – ‘Corrupt Drive’ Error!

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue while trying to download Rust on Steam. It gets almost to the finish line at 99%, then I get hit with the 'Corrupt drive' error. I recently installed a brand new Kingston NV3 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD just last month, and everything else downloads without a hitch. The weird thing is, I've had Rust installed on this drive before without any problems. I've already tried a few solutions like clearing the download cache, repairing the Steam library, and even deleting and reinstalling the game, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas on what else I can do?

It sounds like a frustrating issue! Since your SSD is new and working fine with other downloads, it might be worth checking a couple of things. First, make sure your SSD's firmware is up to date, as sometimes issues like this can come from outdated software. Also, you could try running a disk check to see if there are any underlying issues with the drive itself.

Have you tried altering your download region in Steam's settings? Sometimes, switching to a different region can clear up download errors. It's a bit of a hassle, but it might help you get Rust downloaded without that pesky error. Good luck!
