Having Trouble Installing an Operating System on My New PC

I just built a new PC, and I'm really struggling to install any operating system. I've already updated my BIOS and checked all the connections, but I'm still hitting a wall. When I try to start the installation from my USB, it just loops back to the boot device selection screen. If I attempt to override it, the display goes black and then returns to the same selection page. I'm at a loss for what to try next. Any advice?

Could you clarify how far you get in the installation process? Are you getting sent back to the BIOS, or is it just the boot device page? It sounds like you might be stuck before even starting the install.

Did you use software like Rufus to properly flash the USB drive? Just dragging and dropping the .iso file isn't enough—it's different from how you update your BIOS.

If you're working with Windows, ensure that your USB stick has the proper installation files on it, not just the compressed files from Microsoft. You should prepare the USB using a computer to make sure the right setup is on it.

Make sure your USB drive is actually set up to be bootable. Is your computer's BIOS set to boot from USB first? And just to check, what operating systems are you trying to install?
